Child Safety Standards

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Kibhi does not allow child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) anywhere on the app or the website. This page is our public standard: what is banned, how we prevent it, how to report it, and what we do about it.

What is banned

This applies everywhere on Kibhi: posts, comments, direct and group messages, voice and video calls, live streams, usernames, bios and profile pictures.

How we prevent it

Kibhi is for ages 13 and up

We ask for a date of birth at sign-up. Accounts of children under 13 are deleted. For 13-17 year olds, only people they follow (or already talk with) can message or call them or add them to a group, their account starts private, and they are not suggested to people who don't already know them. Our servers enforce this, so no app or trick gets around it.

Checked before anyone sees it

Photos and videos in posts and chats are checked automatically for nudity and sexual content, and the words in posts, comments and bios are checked for sexual content and threats. Content that fails is never posted or sent.

Control over who reaches you

A message from someone you don't follow waits in message requests, with photos and videos covered. Anyone can be blocked, and a blocked person can't see you, message you or call you.

How to report

In the app and on the website: use Report on the post, comment, message, profile or call in question. It is in the menu on each one, and on screen during a call. You can block the person in the same place.

Without an account: email tafadzwatauro09@gmail.com (or support@kibhi.com) with the subject "Child safety report" and a link to what you saw. If an intimate image of you was shared without your consent, use kibhi.com/take-it-down.

Anyone, anywhere: you can also report to NCMEC's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org. If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first (911 in the United States).

What we do when we find it

  • A person on our safety team reviews reports about children first, ahead of other reports.
  • Content that sexually exploits or endangers anyone under 18 is removed immediately, without waiting for a second report.
  • The account responsible is permanently banned.
  • We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, and to law enforcement, as the law requires.
  • We cooperate with valid requests from law enforcement.

Laws we follow

Kibhi complies with applicable child safety laws, including the duty to report apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC (18 U.S.C. § 2258A) and the TAKE IT DOWN Act. We also follow Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy. See our Community Guidelines, Terms of Service and the Safety Center.

Child safety contact

Kibhi Child Safety Team, run by Kibhi's founder, Tafadzwa Innocent Tauro. Regulators, law enforcement and app stores can reach the person responsible for Kibhi's child safety practices at tafadzwatauro09@gmail.com. This address is monitored, and reports about children are handled first.
